Group Support

Taking time out of your caring role can be difficult but we understand how important this is for your wellbeing. Joining a group to connect with other people can be a great way to do this.

Online Groups for Young Carers

We have been busy coming up with ideas about how we can stay in touch with young carers in Newcastle during this difficult time. We want to be able to create a chance for young carers to come together and meet other people with similar experiences and make new friends. We know how important it is for you to take a break, so we are excited that we have two brand new online groups for young carers: Young Carers Group for children aged 8-10 and Young Carers Group for young people aged 11 – 15 (children in Key Stage 3 onwards).

If you’d like to find out more about these groups contact us, or visit What’s On.

Our Young Carers Online Groups are funded by Children In Need, we would like to thank them for their support in making these groups possible.

Young Carers Group Summer Programme: Face-to-Face Activties

We are delighted to have a summer 2021 programme of activities for young carers.

These activities are free of charge to all young carers and are designed to provide a friendly and relaxed space where young carers can meet, chat, have fun and try new things!

We have a varied programme from pizza in the park to horse riding and lots more! See our What’s On page for more details of all young adult carers’ activities.

To find out more, or to sign up for any activity, please get in touch.

If you are a young carer and would like to know more about how we can support you and your family, you could ask a parent or even a teacher at school to contact us so we can talk to you about how we can help you.
