Taking time out of your caring role can be difficult but we understand how important this is for your wellbeing. Joining a group to connect with other people can be a great way to do this.
Young Adult Carers Online Group
Our online group for young adult carers meets weekly on a Wednesday evening. Join us for fun and friendly chat and an opportunity to meet other young adults who are looking after someone. Sessions aim to build your aspirations, whether you want to develop your confidence, learn about work, education and other important topics, or just have fun.
We share information, play games and much more! You are welcome to come along to the group every week, or just drop in and out when you have time.
Our Young Adult Carers Group online sessions are held on a Wednesday, 5pm – 6:30pm.
At each session there is a focus on your confidence, goals and aspirations, and helping you to understand and transition into adulthood. The sessions are also a great opportunity to:
- Meet other young people in similar situations
- Take a break from your caring role
- Get information and support
- Chat and have fun!
For more information, or if you would like to join our Young Adult Carers Group, talk to us – joining instructions will be given. If you have any requirements or need help to attend let us know.
First time attending an online group…? If you would like to have a run-through to see how it all works just contact us. We can have a one-to-one meeting online with you to talk through how it all works.
Don’t have access to technology…? Don’t let that put you off, get in touch with us and we can discuss funding opportunities that you could access to get the equipment that you need.
*Please note that if you would like to be involved in our Young Adult Carers Online Groups but can’t attend on this date/time we would like to hear from you. Groups are currently planned around information young people have given us; however, to ensure you are able to access the support that you need we are happy to plan sessions at other times if there is a demand. This could be to fit around work, education and caring.
