Priority 6 for the COVID-19 vaccine now includes unpaid carers. This means if you look after someone who needs help and support on a regular basis, and they could not manage without your help, you can now access the vaccine in this next phase of the vaccine roll-out.
Register as a carer
If you look after someone who is ill, disabled, has mental health problems or is misusing drugs or alcohol, and you are not employed to do this, then you are a carer.
Please contact us to register your details.
If you are already registered with us as a carer, you do not need to do anything at this time.
Where can I get more information?
For the most up-to-date information about the COVID-19 vaccine, and what carers need to know, Carers UK have put together a helpful information page here.
It answers lots of important questions, including the latest news about the vaccine, what you can do as a carer and how to contact your GP about getting vaccinated.
