We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be challenging times for those with a caring role. Over the last few months, we have given invaluable information, advice and support, to carers and young carers via telephone, video call and online.

From Monday 21 June, we will continue to support carers in this way, but we are delighted to say that some staff will be working in our Centre and will be able to offer a limited number of face-to-face appointments to carers for whom this would provide particular benefit.

Our Carers Information Line is open as normal Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm on 0191 275 5060. We understand having someone to talk to about your caring role can make a big difference, and we’re here to listen. We can help you deal with stress, talk to professionals, access grants, advise about any practical support with your caring role and much more.

We continue to run our online groups and activities, and information about each event can be viewed on our website ‘What’s On’ page.

Additionally, we continue to take new referrals from professionalsand referrals can be made to us via our dedicated web page for professionals here.

It is important we keep our staff safe, and in turn, keep carers and families safe. We kindly ask that only people who have a planned appointment come to our Centre. At this moment in time we are unable to provide a drop-in service for information and advice until further notice.

We will continue to take action in line with Government and health guidance as the COVID-19 pandemic progresses and will post updates to our website and social media (Facebook; Twitter; Instagram).
