Carers Information Line 0191 275 5060

Coronavirus (COVID-19) and Newcastle Carers

Thursday 12th March

We are unable to offer any face-to-face appointments or meetings at Newcastle Carers until further notice. Our Carers Information Line is open as normal, Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm, 0191 275 5060.

Whilst we have not had any known cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) at Newcastle Carers, we have taken this precaution to help protect the many vulnerable people we are in contact with, as well as our Newcastle Carers staff team, volunteers, and visitors.

This applies to all groups and activities at our Centre and in other locations across the City, including one-to-one appointments, drop-in sessions, Carer Cafés, and all other face-to-face meetings.

We understand coronavirus (COVID-19) is a cause for concern for carers and therefore advise any carer who needs support to contact us (details above).

The situation regarding coronavirus (COVID-19) is constantly changing, however we will provide updates through our social media channels (Facebook and Twitter) and on the News section of our website.

If you are worried that you or someone you look after may be at risk of coronavirus (COVID-19), NHS 111 can offer direct guidance online: coronavirus helpline. You can also call 111, letting them know that you are a carer.

Carers UK has guidance about coronavirus (COVID-19) and being prepared.
