Could you be missing out on Carer's Credit?

Wednesday 19th August

Minister for Pensions, Baroness Altmann, is asking all carers to check whether they are getting the right benefits they are entitled to.

Nearly 200,000 people who provide unpaid care to a relative or friend could receive an increase in their pension by claiming a benefit called Carer’s Credit. It is estimated that currently only 5% of those eligible are signed up to receive Carer's Credit - additional National Insurance contributions.

More information on Minister for Pensions, Baroness Altmann's request to carers, Carer's Credit eligibility and how to apply on GOV.UK website.
