We are ..
A resource for carers.
We support carers through the provision of information, advice, emotional support, training, volunteer opportunities, activities and events that promote the health and wellbeing of carers, plus services and support for local carers groups. Carers who join us become members of Newcastle Carers Forum, receiving regular information and invitations to meetings and social gathering.
Active carers are our primary target group. By active, we mean carers who would benefit by the services we proved to help them cope with their caring role. We also provide limited transitional support for former carers.
A resource for organisations
We are a specialist recource for organisations, agencies and groups in Newcastle who provide services and support to carers or who have an interest in carers and carers issues. We offer expert advice, information, support and training to help others develop and implement carer-sensitive policies and practices, and high quality services for carers. Those who wish to join us become members of Newcastle Carers Network, receiving regular information about national and local issues concerning issues.
